Browns Bay Preschool is a small centre with trained teachers who are committed to the learning of the children. We are licensed for 41 children and have 8 Infants and Toddlers. We support children's interests and encourage them to value their own learning while experiencing the joy of discovery and sound relationships.

The centre is strongly influenced by the philosophies of Reggio Emilia, Italy, and we are proud that we have been instrumental in inspiring many other teachers and centers in embracing change in their own learning environments. Our Reggio journey has particularly focused on the environment as the third teacher and we are continually unpacking the many philosophies that underpin our own centre philosophy.

The centre has a friendly, family atmosphere and is well resourced. Both Bert and Therese are actively involved in the centre and professional development for our teachers, takes high priority. Teachers work in a very supportive and encouraging environment. All the teachers are members of REANZ (Reggio Emilia Aotearoa New Zealand) and I am a committee/trust member.
